Two of Virginia’s candidates for Governor were in Richmond Wednesday at an environmental forum hosted by the Chesapeake Bay Foundation. Republican Ed Gillespie and Democrat Ralph Northam talked rising oceans, energy and oysters.
This summer marked some milestones for interstate natural gas pipeline projects in West Virginia. The Atlantic Coast Pipeline and the Mountain Valley Pipeline both received favorable recommendations in their final environmental impact statements and now await approval from the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission.
In developing the program, the project consulted with a number of wildlife experts, including Bob Glennon, a private lands biologist for Virginia Tech’s Conservation Management Institute, according to the release.
