Just fill in your information and the letter below will be sent to the North Carolina Department of Air Quality and Department of Commerce in support of the Atlantic Coast Pipeline. A copy will also be sent to your governor, lieutenant governor, U.S. Senators, U.S. Representative and state legislators. Thank you for your support.

I am writing in support of the Atlantic Coast Pipeline and to urge that North Carolina DEQ approve the project’s application for an air quality permit for the compressor station in Northampton County.

This is an urgently needed infrastructure project that will bring lower-cost energy supplies and new economic development to one of the most underserved and economically distressed regions in our state. Without this infrastructure, eastern North Carolina will not be able to attract manufacturing or the other industries it needs to grow the economy, create jobs and support the local tax base.

The project has been more thoroughly reviewed by state and federal agencies than any other infrastructure project in our state’s history—from construction practices and environmental protection to public safety and air quality.

Compressor stations are an integral part of our nation’s natural gas pipeline system. The ACP project has demonstrated that the Northampton compressor station will meet or exceed all regulatory requirements for public safety, noise and air quality. After months of careful review the Northampton Board of Commissioners unanimously approved a local permit for the station. The effects of the station will be minimal compared to the huge benefit it will provide to all North Carolinians.

I believe North Carolina truly needs this historic project, and I believe in the careful review the project is undergoing. I ask that you approve the ACP for North Carolina.

Thank you.
