For three years, discussion of the Atlantic Coast Pipeline (ACP) has tended to focus on a small but vocal group that opposes the pipeline. I know these folks have spent hours protesting and making sure their voices have been heard.
I am pleased with the decision by FERC to approve the Atlantic Coast Pipeline, and I hope to see the state agencies coordinating on the project work to grant final permits soon.
Those are just a few examples of the safety procedures pipeline companies use, but believe me there are many more. I am confident the Atlantic Coast Pipeline will be built and operated safely and with redundant layers of protection to make sure that’s the case.
